Compressed Earth Brick is an appropriate technology which is applicable to meet many needs worldwide. Soil composites are different in various areas of the world. Proper formulation and compaction allows for durable and economical structures from permanent village homes, to churches and schools.

Our course offers hands-on training in site selection, design, and construction of compressed earth structures. We will use the techniques and equipment … Come prepared to get dirty, and leave with the knowledge and experience you'll need to help others build affordable structures in their community.

  • Practical, hands-on training of earth block creation and construction

  • Soil analysis and stabilizer mix

  • Earth block machine function and care

  • Testing of blocks and soil

Meet Our Instructor

Ben Adkins serves as Equip International’s President. His lifelong passion for missions has led him to work with some of the finest people in over 50 countries. As former director of a global missions organization, Ben brings administrative and practical experience in disaster relief, IT solutions, global discipleship, developing sustainable solutions, and appropriate technology. Ben looks forward to rolling up his sleeves and joining course participants in a technique that has produced durable housing in diverse areas.
